Mr. Vipul Parsottamdas Thakkar is the ex-president of Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India’s (CREDAI) Vadodara and Gujarat chapter. In addition, Mr. Thakkar was also the Chairman of the International Exhibition Committee of CREDAI National.

Mr. Thakkar has graduated as a civil Engineer from Maharaja Sayajirao University, Vadodara in 1983. He has been in real estate and construction industry for the past 30 years with a rich and diverse experience in all facets of the industry vis-a-vis construction of over 40 lakh sq. ft. of property in and around the city of Vadodara.

Mr. Thakkar is also inclined to corporate social responsibility and also served as the Trustee of Baroda District Probation and After-care Association which runs the coveted “Balgokulam” programme for the under-privileged children. He has also been on board of Government of Gujarat Housing & Construction Labor welfare board as a Director which works for the betterment of labors mostly involved in construction activities. He has also been the Vice President of Akhil Gujarat Lohana Samaj.

In his individual business capacity, Mr. Thakkar is a prominent developer in his own right as a Managing partner in 9 firms and handling currently many real estate projects under the brand “Brookfieldz”.

He is the erstwhile Executive Director of New light hotels and resorts Ltd. which is the owning company of The Vivanta Hotel, a business segment and a 5 star category hotel at Vadodara managed by Taj group of companies (IHCL). Along with the same, expanding his horizons in hospitality sector, he has developed another star category hotel “Fortune Park” at Dahej SEZ and is the Managing Director of its managing Company - Sapthagiri Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. Additionally; he is also the Chairman/Director of Promenade Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. having another star category hotel “Fortune Inn Promenade” at Vadodara. He is also developing another Star Category Hotel as a Managing Director of Shreekunj Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. at Dahej, SEZ.
